Volunteer Activities

There are many ways volunteers can support JapanHarvest including:

  • Becoming a food rescue driver
  • Assisting with loading and unloading vans
  • Sorting through food donations

We handle each food item carefully, imagining the smiles of tho se in need, and work to make their lives better.

How to Get Involved as a Volunteer

Corporations/Organisations

If your corporations or organisation is interested in joining a s volunteers with JapanHarvest, please reach out to us via the inquiry form. We'll offer customized suggestions to suit your preferences.

Individuals

Please check the precautions and insurance details before filling out the application form.

Guidelines for Volunteering (Please be sure to read the following.)

  • Activity duration varies depending on the task.
  • Participants must be at least 20 years old. (Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.)
  • If you anticipate being delayed or need to cancel, please kindly inform us by emailing Hello@japanharvest.or.jp.
  • For your comfort, please dress in comfortable attire and wear sneakers;
    sandals are not permitted. Additionally, please review the email we sent for specific items needed for the activity.
  • If you have a fever or are feeling unwell, please take care of yourself and don't hesitate to send a cancellation email to info@japanharvest.or.j p. Your well-being is important to us.
  • If you happen to get injured during the activity, please don't hesitate to inform one of our staff members right away. Your safety is our t op priority.

Information on Volunteer Insurance

All registered volunteers (limited to individuals with Japan's National Health Insurance or health insurance) are covered by the comprehensive NPO activity insurance policy
contracted by our organisation upon registration. For any inquiries regarding accidents or compensation during volunteer activities, please contact Jap an Harvest. We will then liaise with the insurance company to address your concerns after conducting an investigation.
