From Waste to Nourishment

In Japen, more than 5 million tonnes of food is discarded every year, costing 2 trillion YEN annually. Food waste not only wastes money and resources, it also harms the environment. But we can help by transforming discarded food into someone’s treasure. There two ways you can help get food to people who need it most:

Food Storage Guidelines

JapanHarvest drivers are certified with qualifications such as cooking licenses (a national credential) and a food hygience manager certification. Hygiene management is paramount in food handeling, so drivers with the right knowledge ensure that food from supermarkets and hotels is appropriately stored at the correct temperature and delivered to organisations and people in need.
